DRAFT HILLARY CLINTON COMMITTEE OUTRAISES COMPETITION

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Hillary Rodham Clinton for President Committee, a Richmond, Virginia based committee connected with supporters nation wide, announced today that it is winning the money race for 2008.

The Hillary Clinton for President Committee filed its first quarterly report with the Federal Election Commission on January 16, 2006. The committee raised a total of $2,548 during the final quarter of 2005. As of December 31, 2005 the committee had $2,093 cash on hand.

“This is a strong foundation for us to build on as we expand from an online netroots campaign organization to a grassroots field campaign,” said Campaign Director Peter Feddo. “With more than 50 donors in 27 states our campaign has broad nationwide support.”

The Hillary Clinton for President Committee has so far out raised and outperformed competing draft committees as of the December 31 filing deadline. The Draft Giuliani Committee reported mere $771 cash on hand at the end of the filing quarter.

“We raised a respectable amount for a netroots committee during the typically slow fundraising month of December while our opposition failed to report a significant amount of contributions or even file with the FEC,” said Feddo.

The Hillary Clinton for President Committee is not associated with U.S. Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY), who is currently not a candidate for the office of U.S. President.
