Des Moines Register Endorses Hillary!
"Readiness to lead sets her apart from a constellation of possible stars in her party, particularly Barack Obama, who also demonstrates the potential to be a fine president," the newspaper’s endorsement editorial concludes. "When Obama speaks before a crowd, he can be more inspirational than Clinton. Yet, with his relative inexperience, it's hard to feel as confident he could accomplish the daunting agenda that lies ahead."
Clinton Invites Voters to 'Inspect' Her
Standing atop a stage in a livestock auction barn, Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton likened the experience to her quest to woo undecided voters in the closing days before Iowa's pivotal caucuses.
"I've been to cattle barns before and sales before, in Arkansas, but I've never felt like I was the one that was being bid on," Clinton told a crowd in western Iowa. "I know you're going to inspect me. You can look inside my mouth if you want. I hope by the end of my time with you I can make the case for my candidacy and to ask you to consider caucusing for me."
Clinton's 'Hill-A-Copter' makes its first landing
With just 18 days to go until the Iowa caucuses, Hillary Clinton’s campaign is stressing that “every pocket of Iowa” is crucial in helping secure her nomination.
Clinton won’t go door-to-door in Iowa like she did in New Hampshire Saturday, at least not on this week’s Iowa blitz, her staff said today.
Instead, she’s drawing attention by whirring in a chopper staff dubbed the “Hill-A-Copter” on a five-day handshake-a-thon, trying to make an impression on as many of Iowa’s 1,781 precincts as possible.

Mondale campaigns for Clinton
Former Vice President Walter Mondale stopped in Iowa City Friday to endorse who he said is the best candidate to win the presidential election and usher in Democratic control of the White House -- Hillary Rodham Clinton.
"Every poll shows she's the only Democratic candidate that is ahead of all the Republicans," said Mondale, who attended a luncheon with residents at the Oaknoll Retirement Community, 1 Oaknoll Court.
Clinton Leads Iowa
CLINTON 29%
Despite all the hoopla and negative campaigning and Oprah, the Democratic race in Iowa remains pretty much the same as its been for the past month—way too close to call. In three straight Rasmussen Reports polls conducted over the past month, each of the leading candidates has seen their level of support stay in a very narrow range—three percentage points or less. Given that the poll has a three-percentage point margin of sampling error, the results are remarkably stable.
Clinton campaign tracks 'dirty campaign tricks'
Hillary Clinton’s campaign is starting a file of “dirty campaign tricks” after a handful of supporters reported that negative information about the Democratic presidential candidate is being peddled by telephone.
Two Iowans reported so-called push polls, where the unidentified callers pretended to be opinion pollsters but instead did little more than bash Clinton. Two other Iowans reported feeling badgered by callers who said they were from the Obama campaign.
Separately, a caucusgoer who is registered as a Democrat told The Des Moines Register that a push poll Monday evening targeted Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards, in that order.
Sen. Clinton stresses importance of Iowa Caucus
Sen. Hillary Clinton not only stumped for votes Sunday, she pushed would-be followers to caucus for her next month.
Surrounded by about 370 supporters at The Lodge, the presidential contender made another stop in the Quad-Cities as she hopped around Iowa, the first caucus state.
Clinton Cranks Up Rhetoric Against Obama
Hillary Rodham Clinton suggested Monday that Barack Obama has too little experience and perhaps too much ambition, pressing an increasingly aggressive campaign against her chief rival for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Both candidates were in Iowa, one month before the nation's leadoff caucuses with new polls showing Obama had whittled away her early lead and they were virtually tied among Democrats in the state.
